Salman Khan in seventh heaven!
The superstar is all set to host the seventh season of ‘Bigg Boss’ and shares what it is like to be the boss of one’s own destiny

“Definitely, all this depends provided my star is riding high in the sky. Only then will these channels also look forward to me. Also, if my films do well at the box office, I will be considered,” says the superstar and adds, “I have no hassles if one day I am not riding high. In this span of life, all of us have to undergo this position. Why only in the film industry? This change is experienced by people in any field be in any business. One is approached only if he is worth it.”
Talking about his other priorities in life other than acting, he shares, “I have so many other things to do in my life. I have my family, my Being Human charitable organization, which I need to take care of.” Also, sharing that he rather be choosy about his work, he says, “I am prepared for any consequences and ready to tread my life the way it comes to me. I am not a beginner hence it will not suit me approaching people for work. If some good projects come to me, I shall openly accept it. But right now I am enjoying my work.”
Salman shows no signs of coyness in openly admitting that he might be open to host other TV shows if his fellow actors have vacated the chair and reiterates, “Yes, I will unhesitatingly turn the host provided I am invited and the chair is empty. Be it then ‘Satyamev Jayate’ or ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. If Aamir Khan is not hosting it due to some reasons or Amitabh Bachchan may leave the show, I will go ahead and do it.”
The workaholic actor humbly puts forth that one has to prove his worth and says, “Nowadays we have to prove our worth with a box office hit. Earlier too the actors had to perform so as to make their films a hit. However, the trend is the same but the ways of getting a hit have turned a bit aggressive. I believe that we need to put in our best and try to be known by our films that we do.”
Talking about his competition, he highlights, “Work is worship for me and I will never try to keep any grudges with any of my peers. My film too has to release while he (Shah Rukh Khan) has proved his worth through his latest release and then there is another young actor Ranbir Kapoor, who too has done well on work front.” And adds, “I feel being human is what we all guys belonging to the world of glitz and glamour need to profess and follow as well.”
Salman is very close to his mother and adds, “Yes, my mother loves watching ‘Bigg Boss’. She watches a couple of other serials too. But to certain extent when the fights and negativity turns slightly too much, she stops watching my show. I too do not like much of fights. But in an atmosphere where people live together for almost 24 hours such unpleasant things do crop up.”
