Gori Tere Pyaar Mein! brings the pressure on for Imran Khan?
With recent flops at the box-office, the actor may be under pressure to deliver a hit

“I think you are under pressure to deliver your best, in each and every movie of yours. You are only as good as your last movie. Every film whether it’s a hit or a flop. Even though you may have come after a string of successful films that doesn’t mean that the pressure is any less. Pressure to deliver good is always there,” says the actor who is still looking out for that elusive hit after a string of flops. And adds, “I don’t dwell into past matters. I always like to leave the past, live in the present and give my best.”
When asked whether promotions of a film plays an important role in determining the film’s success, he says, “I do agree promotional activities are of utmost importance in today’s times. But being with Karan Johar I am not worried. He looks after everything very well.” When probed about his ‘Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara’ (OUATIMD) not doing well at the box-office, he adds, “I believe if you can’t say something good, you shouldn’t say anything at all. I don’t want to say anything about my earlier film’s promotions, especially ‘OUATIMD’ that you are referring to. I think promotions should be intelligent and aggressive.”
‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein!’ also has the flavour of the village, so when Imran was asked if he took some time getting acquainted to the smell of cow dung for the movie, he replied, “I grew up and studied in a place where there was something called ‘lipayi’, which we used do perform in our hostels and dorms were painted with ‘lipayi’. Now after getting the flavour again, I actually loved it.”
Hopefully, this young lad can recreate his magic onscreen and break his jinx of flops.
