While Athiya is excited about her upcoming debut film Hero, she is not interested in doing films down South, at this juncture. “I am happy that I have been given a chance. It was always my dream to act in Bollywood,” she says. “My father (Sunil Shetty) has not given me any advice or tips as such. But I have grown up watching him at home and on screen as well. But I leave it to the audiences to judge my acting capabilities,” she adds.
While she has got quite a few offers from Bollywood, has she got any from the South? “Well, my debut Hindi film Hero is releasing soon. I am waiting impatiently for the release and I hope that I have done my job to the best of my abilities. However, at this juncture of my career, I am not open to doing any South films,” she says.
She adds, “I have worked very hard on my language as well. I have tried to give my best in every scene I wish to make my parents, Salman Khan and my director Nikhil Advani proud.”
