SRK feels humbled by success of Chennai Express

While the runaway success of Shah Rukh Khan’s latest movie Chennai express has left everybody astounded, it’s a moment of sober reminiscence for King Khan. On asking him his thoughts on the same he replied, “Today I visited Maratha Mandir where ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ screening for the past seventeen years is steadily going on and having another poster of ‘CE’ there made me feel so very humble and interested to especially note that the audiences love me so much.”
On being reminded of the 233 crs ‘CE’ has made so far and how he felt the movie with do with lots of new movies having released this Friday Shah Rukh said,” I can only say one thing. All films are made with great pain and interest. I wish all the very best to every film. We are a little busy visiting theatres; Director Rohit Shetty and I literally love to watch the response of ‘Chennai Express’ while sitting amongst the crowd. Laughing and crying along with them makes us feel proud and great indeed.”
‘Chennai Express’ has had excellent in overseas collections as well and while talking about the global recognition for Indian Cinema Shah Rukh replied,” I am happy that Indian Cinema has been successful in making its market value internationally too. Being spotted on the international map will make us Indians proud and prosper. We have definitely come a long way and our films being watched by more foreign citizen means a lot to us.”
On enquiring about his future plans and a possible sequel to ‘Chennai Express’, King Khan said, “We are very busy with the recently released ‘CE’, however, after a month we will begin our work on our next film. I am married to Deepika in the film so I cannot go to another State and get married for another ‘CE’. We have not thought over making ‘CE2’. I do not see any rays of light for its extended theme at all. I have two scripts with me, undoubtedly I will have to sit and chalk out my next. “
On asking if he considered his newborn son to be his lucky mascot which contributed to ‘CE’s’ success, Shah Rukh retorted, ”Whenever a child is born in a family he is surely lucky mascot for the family. But AbRam is very small and I would not like to put the responsibility of bringing in luck for me through ‘CE’, it would be mean on my part to bring him in to share all my responsibilities at such a tender age. All I would care for AbRam should always be healthy. Smilingly he added, “Lets drag in Rohit to share the responsibility along with me and I am also happy for him and would want him make more brilliant comedy!”
