Zila Ghaziabad se Desi Kattey tak ka safar
Anand Kumar of ‘Zila Ghaziabad’ fame is all set to
direct another film titled, ‘Desi Kattey’ under his own banner Anand Kumar
productions.’ Expressing enthusiasm about his maiden home production he says,
“‘Desi Kattey’ is action human drama based in a small town near Kanpur. Its
story is about two kids who turn out to be India’s best sharp shooters thanks to
the childhood they spend in the katta (handmade pistol) factory. I simply came
up with this typical title as I find it intriguing and feel that a common man
will definitely associate with it.”
Talking further about his film Anand adds, “DK is
loosely inspired by Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Saathi’ (1991). The film will also see a
huge superstar playing the role of the villain. Well! I can not disclose any
further.”
On enquiring if he is coming up with more films under his banner, Anand replied “We have three exciting projects lined up for future, ‘Desi Kattey’, ‘Juliet’ and ‘Nabbu’. While both ‘Desi Kattey’ and ‘Nabbu’ will be directed by me, ‘Juliet’ will see my associate at the helm of affairs.”
But as the industry saying goes if you want to put someone in trouble then you should allure him to turn a producer. On asking Anand about the same, he smiled replying, “‘Aisa nahi hai Bhai!’ I have been in this profession and belong to the industry. I cannot do any other job as God has entrusted this profession onto me I have to do full justice to it. Also I love film making.”
