The actor turned producer has been looking
outside Bollywood, to give a boost to regional cinema
Actor-turned-producer,Akshay Kumar who had confirmed
about his Marathiventure is all set for his Punjabi release too. Looks like the
actor is going full throttle the regional way.
His Punjabi filmtitled ‘Bhaji’ releases on
November 15, which also overlaps with the weekend of Gurunanak Jayanti. “The
film had problems releasing during the auspicious religious weekend.It
definitely suggests that Akki is turning to such important dates in order cash
on success,” reveals a source.
However, his latest Hindi flick, ‘OUATIMD’ is giving a tough competition to ‘Chennai Express’.Akshay being a family man, also stresses on the importance of looking after loved ones and says, “Yes, we have to look after our parents who have taken the trouble of bringing us up in such a good manner. Children should understand their responsibility of taking care of their parents especially when they turn old.”
Hope, the family man knowing the sentiments riding on auspicious occasions, gets his timing perfect for the release of his regional films.
