Veteran actor Dilip Kumar lashed out against the media in his blog www.dilipkumar.mouthshut.com. ‘It is awful that a few print scribes take the freedom to print quotes which actually is the figment of the imagination of the journalist. Saira and I were terribly shocked to read reports that we are gearing up to celebrate my birthday,” said the actor and added, “We have yet to recover from the shock of the passing away of my dear friend Yash Chopra, who was by my side when I blew the candles on my birthday cake last year and stayed on till the wee hours, sharing the family’s happiness.” He added that he was also grieved by the passing away of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray.

“With so many dear friends gone this year, how can we even think of a celebration?” he said.
