  • THE GREAT KHAN STUMBLES

The recent outburst of Sapna Bhavnani against Bigg Boss anchor Salman Khan showed the superstar’s tumbling stock among non-filmy people

Not everything is going according to script in this season’s Bigg Boss, especially for the reality show’s superstar host Salman Khan.
While Salman is used to the entire entertainment industry kowtowing to him, contestant Sapna Bhavnani abusing him and calling him a “serial woman beater” (which was edited out of the show) and later Aseem Trivedi siding with her must have really hurt the superstar’s ego. There was strong talk about the actor being very annoyed with the this season’s contestants and wanting to get the show over and done with quickly.
While the show’s bosses are not commenting, disgruntled former housemates opened up about the star and their issues with him and each other.
Cartoonist Aseem Trivedi says that while Sapna crossed her limits, she was not entirely at fault. “There is no question of showing disrespect or misbehaving with a star like Salman Khan. He is a great human being. However, when the rift opened up between Salman and Sapna, I consciously took up for her… When goaded by Salman, Sapna, who is indeed an outspoken person, lost her cool and started shouting at the top of her voice. But I agree she was wrong when she told Salman ‘you are a woman beater’.
“I supported Sapna because she and I both had motives for entering Bigg Boss. She had an agenda in mind as she works for women empowernment. We had many discussions pertaining to such issues. ”
Talking more about Salman’s behaviour Aseem says, “Salman haste hasate sabki insult kar dete the. I do not think he ever watches the episodes religiously. He enters the BB House and does whatever is told to him.
But Kashif Qureshi, the only commoner on the show who got eliminated quickly feels Sapna is no angel either. Taking up for Salman, he says, “Mujhe yeh Sapna toh bilkul hi pagal lagti hai. She does not know how to behave and literally fights like a bitch. People rightly called her mad even in the BB House. Both Aseem and Sapna think they are revolutionaries and want to bring about a change in the country. I would advise them to change themselves first. Aseem is still a better person. He is not very rude and especially in front of Salman he pretended to be very sugary while he shared the stage with him. But no sooner did he turn his back he started talking against him.” TV actor Sayantani Ghosh seems to be on Team Salman as she was in awe of the actor and would not say a word against the star. “I enjoyed my conversation with Salman and I do not think he can ever lose his charm,” is

    all that she will say.
