Mar 21, 2014 ,no milli jhili sarkar for subhash ghai/lipika varma/asianage/21.3.2014

Director Subhash Ghai has said that he does not have a wishlist for a prime ministerial candidate and does not suport a “mili juli sarkar”. He also believes that the time has come to act for a better India. The producer-director, whose latest venture Kaanchi-The Unbreakable is set to release on April 25, is also not worried about the release clashing with the time of elections.
“My film releases on April 25 and the election falls on April 24. This is good for me, as after the tiring day of elections, people would like something to unwind,” he says.
On elections and the political scenario, he says, “With fear, murder, poverty, rape and financial setback we need to have something to solve these problems right away. Through the power of vote the youth needs to show its anger by choosing the right individual.”
Although he says he doesn’t support any particular individual for the PM’s post, he does have ambitious expectations of them. “Whosoever is the candidate should have the right intellectual abilities and deserve the post. He should adhere to Sare Jahan Se Achcha Hindustan Hamara and try to bring India to a place where people can once again call it Sone Ki Chiddiyan .”
Speaking about the Rajya Sabha members to be chosen soon, he says, “All the members should be qualified. They should stop fighting in the Parliament and should not believe in ‘mili juli sarkar’ just to make their position stronger.”
