‘I have to direct Hrithik’

After the smashing success of his 2013 sci-fi flick Krrish 3, we hear that Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is keenly scanning scripts for his next project. Sources reveal that the former actor and director-producer of one of the biggest franchises in Hindi cinema, is now planning another blockbuster for his home banner. While Papa Roshan has yet to zero in on a suitable script, one thing is certain – his superstar and action hero son Hrithik Roshan will headline his next film.
When we call on the senior Roshan to ask him about his plans, he says, “I haven’t finalised anything yet so I don’t know if my next film will be a romantic saga, thriller or sci-fi flick. But I’m definitely planning to launch the new project as soon as we lock in the script. But as of now, I cannot tell you the exact date.” What exactly is he looking for? Does he have a subject in mind? “I’m looking for a really happening story, which I can translate onto the silver screen,” Rakesh replies.
We interrupt him to ask whether Hrithik plays the lead in this film as well. Pat comes his reply – “Of course! Who else? My son has all the abilities needed to perform well, and he has a great physique. Hrithik has all the qualities of a star. I have to direct him! We share a great understanding and our father-son duo working together is a lot of fun!” Well, we can’t argue with that now, can we?
