PC’s dad passes away
Actor Priyanka Chopra’s father Dr Ashok Chopra died on Monday.
Dr Chopra, who had been battling cancer for the last few years, had been admitted at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai Four Bungalows 10 days back as his condition had deteriorated.
A source close to the family, Raju Manwani, said, “I am in deep shock. Just yesterday when I went to see him in the hospital he had held my hand and smiled. But ten days back I did speak to him. He had smiled and said, ‘Not to worry, I am a fighter…. I will survive… I am hale and hearty’.” Sources said that in the end his vital organs had failed.
“We have brought him home. We are getting ready for the cremation. He will be cremated at the Oshiwara Crematorium at 5 pm (Monday),” added Raju.
