Madhuri clarifies, Dedh Ishqiya has no mujra number by lipika varma Published: Fri, Dec 13, 2013

Dancing diva, Madhuri Dixit clarifies that there is no ‘mujra’ in ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ but her dance number will have more classical undertones.

“I am playing the role of Begum (queen) and we can’t call this ‘mujra’, rather it’s ‘thumri’ in classical style that has been choreographed by ‘thumri’ masterji. The specialty of this dance is that I’m not lip-syncing, rather emoting the music,” shares Madhuri.

“Commercially the success of the film can only be figured post its release. The film is highly entertaining,” says Madhuri whose last comeback ‘Aaja Nachle’ being a full on dance-entertainer didn’t really click at the box office.
