I’m not a hands-on father: Aamir
Aamir Khan was excited about celebrating his son Azad’s second birthday this Sunday. Being the youngest child in the family and Aamir and Kiran’s pet, Azad has a special bond with his dad.
“Azad has brought a lot of happiness in our lives. He never allows me to get out of the door when I am going for shoots. I thus have to regularly take him with me. Azad also loves to imitate my dance steps and enjoys dancing with me,” the Dhoom 3 actor says.
“I am not a very hands-on father,” Aamir admits. “But I am also a good father. The problem with me is that I am very self-centered and I get involved with my work extensively. However, whenever I get time, I narrate stories to Azad.”
About his older children, Junaid and Ira, Aamir says, “I am happy that Junaid is learning direction. He, however, never discusses it with me. But if Ira and Junaid are interested in films they will get my full support. And it will indeed be good as Kiran and I are both professionals in the film arena so together, as a family, we can do something creative.”
