Vidya Balan’s marriage side effects
The actress confesses that as long as the woman does not sacrifice her own identity in a marriage, the side effects can be avoided

“For me marriage has not yet given any sour taste. I indeed feel like a happily married woman. However, I opine there are bad as well as good effects in a marriage but I would only like to ask women that they should not end up losing themselves. Usually it is noticed that a woman somehow loses her identity and is overshadowed by her husband. This should not happen with us women,” she shares giving out the secret ‘funda’ of a happily married woman.
Adding further about the importance of respecting each other’s space in a marriage, she says, “I have just begun with my married life. At the moment, I can see all pink and am enjoying the good phase. The most important thing in our relationship is that both of us give enough space to each other. Also luckily my first look in the morning is very refreshing, as I look beautiful. And so the day begins on a good note!”
When asked about her husband turning the head honcho of UTV and whether she has proved to be his lucky charm? To this she laughs aloud and refutes, “No, not at all. I know how hard working Sid is. He can sacrifice anything when it comes to his work. All the credit for his promotions is absolutely because of his brilliant as well as his own sincere efforts. However his responsibilities will increase.” And adds, “I hope many more success to him and why not? His promotions are matter of pride for me being his wife.”
This being Vidya’s first Diwali post marriage, she reveals her plans for celebrating it and shares, “Diwali for me is going to me no different. I do not like to wear makeup and dress up on festive seasons. Yes, we will do our prayers, as usual, wish our close family members and friends. I like a noise and pollution free Diwali. As usual this Diwali too we will celebrate with our family members.”
Switching on to her co–actor Farhan Akhtar in ‘Shaadi ke Side Effects’, she adds, “If I had to watch the movie ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ before doing ‘Shaadi ke Side Effects’, then I think I would have to think twice whether to work with Farhan, as I feel I cannot match the brilliant timing of Farhan. He has done a brilliant job in the film. But definitely we enjoyed working together. His jovial nature and his jokes would allow me to get into bouts of laughter for hours together.” In ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’, Vidya and Farhan play a married couple and the film is a sidesplitting take on martial relationships.
