Deepika looks forward to Awards…..”Of course “Awards” do matter to me.. Everyone needs appreciation for the hard work you put in. At the end of the day you feel great when you go up and receive it.”
Adding about heroines getting less remuneration when compared to the heroes she says,” Things are changing now. Lately, Shahrukh has started a trend by which the name of the heroine scrolls before the hero. However, we do get paid lesser when compared to the heroes,but we are also the part of these 100 cr films…isn’t it? A film cannot work without a heroine. “
Adding more she says,” We need not care for money name and fame…we have become a part of this industry and need to give our best. We our here merely because of our love for Cinema.” Smiles
Are you not proud about your earnings which helped you have a shelter of your own here in Mumbai,” Yes, definitely, Money does matter yes, it does matter a lot that I have no one in the industry and I have made a house of my own with all the hard work. I wouldn't have been able to buy a house in Mumbai otherwise. I have been able to achieve all this because of all the appreciation I have been getting for my films so far. Also, it feels great that my parents can come and live with me in my house.”
