‘I would give Aamir 9 out of 10’
Katrina Kaif joined a long list of heroines including Aishwarya
Rai, Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu in the Dhoom franchise when she signed
up for Dhoom 3.
Talking about the experience, she says, “Performing in Dhoom 3 was tough. It has been a long wait for this film to release. I had to work extremely hard and it has been an interesting journey for me.”
Shooting for the action thriller had its share of scares for Katrina. “The most fearful moment for me was when Aamir and I had to hang from the harness. It was a real torture and very difficult for us to get the right timing. Had we got our timing wrong it would have surely resulted in broken bones,” says the actor.
Talking about her co-stars, Kat says Shah Rukh Khan is the toughest to get romantic with on screen. “Off the sets he is so cool, but as soon as he gets on the sets he is very different. I was very nervous doing romantic scenes with him.”
Talking about her Dhoom 3 co-star Aamir Khan, she says, “I would give a nine out of ten to Aamir. I am reserving the one mark because he left me alone and went to watch Sachin play for the last time.”
“I had feared the action scenes in the film as they had a typical style and the stunts were hard as well as challenging. So much of my time went into training. My trainer keeps on messaging me to attend training regularly but I am always running away from him. Having worked for this film for more than two months, I want to take a break from the gym for a while,” she says.
Talking about a particular incident with Aamir Khan, she says, “I was doing an acrobatic dance where I had to put my leg on his shoulder. He kept telling me to put it lightly as he had hurt his shoulder. And whenever I put my leg he murmured ‘thanks’. He is a cool guy; it was fun working with him.”
