Dark is beautiful

Beauty is not just skin deep as is being proved by many leading celebrities taking up the cause of compartmentalizing people on the basis of color. Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee is supporting the new slogan ‘Dark Is Beautiful’. Presently, more than 22,000 people have signed the petition requesting cosmetics company Emami and brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan to suspend the ad campaign of a fairness cream that targets youth with the message that fairer skin will make them more confident and successful.
“This campaign should have started many years ago in a country where most of us have a certain shade of different brown. But this color tone comparisons have to be countered by so many qualities,” shares Tannishtha.
