INTERVIEW!! मुझे बाहर के बैनर में काम नहीं मिलता – सनी देओल
लिपिका की नज़र से
सनी देओल लगभग 25 सालों के बाद, “घायल वन्स अगेन” के साथ बतौर निर्देशक और अभिनेता आ रहे हैं। धर्मेंद्र, सनी देओल और बॉबी देओल की फिल्म, “यमला पगला दिवाना” में तीनों ने एक साथ काम किया है। सनी अपनी फिल्म, “घायल वन्स अगेन” को लेकर बहुत उत्सुक हैं।
लिपिका वर्मा के साथ बातचीत में उन्होंने ढ़ेर सारे सवालों के जवाब दिये –
1990 की सुपर हिट फिल्म, “घायल” को परदे पर दोबारा लाने में अपने 25 साल क्यों लगा दिए?
दरअसल इस कहानी को मुझे खुद ही विस्तार से लिखना था और उस फिल्म से आगे क्या हो सकता है यह भी मुझे सोचना था। २५ साल पहले वाला किरदार इस किरदार से कितना अलग हो सकता है यह सब सोच समझ कर ही आगे की कहानी बढ़ानी थी। मुझे निर्माता भी नहीं मिल रहे थे, जो कोई भी आता वह कुछ दिनों बाद भाग जाता सो इस वजह से भी काफी देर हो गयी। खैर देर आये दुरुस्त आये। आज के बच्चों के हिसाब से यह कहानी लिखी है।
मीनाक्षी शेषाद्री के बदले सोहा को क्यों लिया है आपने ?
आप सभी को मालूम है कि मैंने मिनाक्षी को अप्रोच किया था किन्तु उन्होंने काम करने से मना कर दिया।
सोहा प्रोमोशन्स में भी नजर नहीं आ रही हैं कोई खास वजह?
ऐसी कोई ख़ास वजह नहीं है बस वह कहीं व्यस्त होंगी सो आ नहीं पाई होंगी।
आप बहुत कम काम कर रहे हैं ऐसा क्यों ?
हंस कर सनी ने कहा, “यदि आप कोई चटपटी हैडलाइन चाह रहे हैं तो यह हैडलाइन आपके लिए सही होगी, “मुझे बाहर के बैनर में काम नहीं मिलता!!”
आज की जनता इस फिल्म से क्या ले पाएगी ?
आज की दुनिया का चित्रलेखन है यह फिल्म। आज की आवाम ख़ासा संबंध देख पायेगी। जहां हमने २५ साल पहले छोड़ी थी तो किस तरह उसे आगे बढ़ाया है हमने वही देखने योग्य है।
आपने हॉलीवुड एक्शन डायरेक्टर डान ब्रेडले को क्यों चुना ?
एक्शन सीन्स को और तीव्रता मिले इसलिए हमने उन्हें बतौर एक्शन डायरेक्टर चुना।
बॉलीवुड में एक्शन सीन्स किस तरह बदले हैं कुछ बताएं?
आज एक्शन सीन्स करने बहुत सेफ हो गए हैं। आज टेक्निकली इन सीन्स को आसानी से शूट किया जा सकता है।
आपने सब नए चेहरे ही क्यों लिए हैं, “घायल वन्स अगेन” में?
मुझे नए चहरे इसलिए लेने पड़े क्योंकि मुझे हू ब हू चरित्र चित्रण करना था। इन सब बच्चों का ऑडिशन लिया गया और वह फिल्म के चरित्र से ख़ासा मिलते जुलते हैं। फिल्म शुरू होने से पहले हमने वर्कशॉप भी किया सो यह सब बच्चे बहुत आसानी से और बेहतरीन काम कर पाएं। मेरी तरफ से माहौल पॉजीटिव ही रखा गया ताकि हम अच्छी फिल्म बना पाये।
इस फिल्म को भी अवॉर्ड मिलेगा? क्या विचार रखते हैं इस बारे में?
मैं भी अपने पिताजी की तरह यही सोचता हूं कि लोगों का प्यार हमे मिले, वही हमारे लिए अवॉर्ड है।
“घायल वन्स अगेन” 5 फरवरी को रिलीज़ होने वाली है उम्मीद है बॉक्स ऑफिस पर अपना झंडा जरूर गाढ़ पायेगी।

निर्देशक राज कुमार हिरानी ने एक अद्भुत बातचीत में अपनी पत्नी और बेटे के बारे में भी बात कर डाली। साथ ही संजय दत्त की बायोपिक, सिनेमा और अपने सक्सेस मंत्रा के बारे में भी बताया उन्होंने। साथ ही बहुत सारे सवालों के जवाब दे डाले लिपिका वर्मा को
राजू हिरानी “जी हाँ फिलहाल मैं अपनी फिल्म, “साला खडूस” के प्रोमोशन्स में व्यस्त हूँ बस इसके बाद मैं संजय दत्त की बायोपिक पर काम करने वाला हूँ जो इस जुलाई में लांच होने वाली हैं।”
आपकी फिल्म में कोई ना कोई मैसेज होता है क्या कहना चाहेंगे?
जी हाँ मैं एक छोटे शहर से बिलोंग करता हूँ। वहां के जितने अनुभव हैं उन्हें अपनी फिल्म में कुछ संशोधित करके जरूर इस्तेमाल करता हूँ। छोटे शहरों में हमें फोन करके किसी के घर जाना नहीं होता है। जब कभी मन चाहे यूं ही चले जाया करते हैं। मेरी फिल्मों में जान बूझ के कोई मैसेज नहीं देता हूँ मैं। हाँ! पी.के. फिल्म में धार्मिक तौर से एक मैसेज जरूर दिया है मैंने। क्यूंकि हर कोई अपने भगवान के लिए लड़ता है। जबकि मेरा यह मानना है कि भगवान को हमारी देख रेख करनी होती है बल्कि हमें उनकी नहीं करनी होती है। इस मुद्दे को लेकर मैंने यह फिल्म बनायीं है और वह कौन सा भग़वान है, दरअसल में सबका मालिक एक ही है।
सिनेमा के बारे में क्या कहना है आपका ? बेहतरीन फिल्म बनाने का क्या फार्मूला है आपका ?
देखिये, सिनेमा एक बहुत ही क्रिएटिव तौर से बनाया जाता है। हमने जो कुछ अनुभव किया है जीवन में रियल लाइफ मुद्दे ही सिनेमा में दिखाये जाते हैं। यदि यूं ही कुछ बनाना हो तो डी वी डी से बनाया जा सकता है किन्तु सिनेमा बनाना एक बहुत ही सीरियस काम है और क्रिएटिव भी सो सबसे पहले तो मैं कोई अद्वितीय कहानी पर काम करना पसंद करता हूं और उसके बाद कहानी मैं ड्रामा, थ्रिल, इमोशंस जो भी हो वह मुझे अच्छा लगना चाहिए। मैं अपने लिए फिल्म बनाना पसंद करता हूँ क्यूंकि मेरा ऐसा मानना है कि यदि फिल्म की कहानी में दम है तो हर किसी को पसंद आएगी और यदि मुझे पसंद आई तो फिल्म अच्छी ही होगी।
आप आलोचनाओं को कैसे लेते हैं और विनोद जी किस तरह रियेक्ट करते हैं अपनी आलोचना सुनकर?
दरअसल हमारे ऑफिस में हर किसी को बोलने का अधिकार है स्क्रिप्ट पर हर कोई बोल सकता है। मुझे हर किसी के विचार जानने में अच्छा लगता है। हालांकि अब भी यदि हम जाने माने फ़िल्मकार हो गए हैं तो भी उन्हें उतना ही हक़ है बोलने का। इस से हमें लोगों की राय जानने को मिलती है। हमारे ऑफिस के पीअन को भी इस मामले में हमने अधिकार दे रखा है। कोई भी रचनात्मक आलोचना सुनने के लिए हम उत्सुक रहते हैं। विनोद जी भी अपनी आलोचना को पॉजीटिव तौर से ही लेते हैं। उनमें किसी तरह का कोई अहंकार [ईगो] नहीं होता है। हाँ यह जरूर है कभी कोई बदलाव ना कर पाएं हम, पर यदि जरुरी हो तो बदलाव लाने में हमे कोई एतराज नहीं होता है। लेखक अभिजात मेरी दूसरी फिल्म से मेरे साथ हैं और वह गुजरात में रहते हैं किन्तु हम हर रोज फ़ोन पर एक दूसरे से बातचीत जरूर करते हैं। जब भी हम फिल्में बनाते हैं तो वह एक दूसरे के सहयोग से ही बनाते हैं।
संजय दत्त की बायोपिक के बारे में कुछ बतलाएं?
मुझे संजय दत्त ने करीब 4/5 घंटे बैठ कर अपनी कहानी सुनाई। हम लोग कोई ख़ास दोस्त नहीं है जैसा कि लोग सोचते हैं। बस यदा- कदा मिल लेते हैं। दरअसल में “मुन्नाभाई” करने के बाद ही हमारी जान पहचान हुई थी। संजय की कहानी में ड्रामा, थ्रिल आर इमोशन भरपूर है। इस लिए उसकी लाइफ हिस्ट्री पर काम करने में मजा आएगा। संजय को कतई तकलीफ नहीं है जैसी उसकी लाइफ हिस्ट्री है वैसी ही मैं पर्दे पर उतरने वाला हूँ और यदि वह मुझे कुछ कहता कि यह मत डालो वह मत दिखाना तो मैं उसकी बायोपिक को ज़रा भी हाथ नहीं लगता। संजू बहुत ही कूल बंदा है। फिल्म जुलाई माह पर फ्लोर्स पर जाएगी। फिलहाल रणबीर कपूर लीड रोल के लिए चुने गए हैं। उनके पेरेंट्स की तलाश जारी है। अन्य कास्ट – क्रेडिट अभी तय नहीं किये गए है।

मुन्नाभाई सीरीज भी बनाने वाले थे आप क्या हुआ ?
मैं कुछ अच्छा सब्जेक्ट ढूंढ रहा था। अभी कुछ अच्छा सा सुझा है बस उसे भी लिख कर आप के सामने लाने वाला हूँ बहुत जल्द, दरअसल पहली वाली फिल्म से कुछ बेहतर होना चाहिए इसलिए अभी तक हम मुन्नाभाई सीरीज को आगे नहीं ला पाये।
आपकी पत्नी का कितना सहयोग मिलता है आपको?
वह एयर इंडिया में एक पायलट की हैसियत से काम करती है। उनका आर्मी बैकग्राउंड से ताल्लुक है काफी अनुशासित भी हैं। अच्छा है वह काम में मशरूफ रहती हैं वरना घर में अकेले पड़ जाती क्योंकि अमूमन मैं घर से बाहर ही रहता हूँ। जब हमारी शादी हुई थी तब मैं एडिटिंग और कुछ एड फ़िल्में किया करता था। मुझे फिल्म बनाने का एक सपना भी था। मेरी पत्नी के सहयोग से वह भी पूरा हो गया। शुरु शुरू में हमारी हालत अच्छी नहीं थी। गोरेगांव में केवल एक रूम में रहा करते। किन्तु मेरी पत्नी ने मेरे सपने को पूरा करने में सहयोग दिया और वह चाहती एवं सोचती रहती अक्सर कि यह अपना सपना कैसे पूरा कर पाएंगे ? मेरी पत्नी को सिनेमा का ज्यादा ज्ञान नहीं है इसलिए उसको मैं फिल्म पूर्ण होने के बाद ही दिखलाता हूँ। वह मेरी आलोचक है फिर चाहे में उसकी बात से सहमत हो या ना हो, किन्तु मुंहफट होने की वजह से अपने दिल की बात तुरंत कह देती है।

आपका बेटा वीर क्या सिनेमा में रूचि रखता है ?
जी हाँ वीर को सिनेमा के बारे में काफी जानकारी है। स्कूल के एक प्रोजेक्ट में हाल ही में अपने कुछ दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर एक फिल्म, “लाइफ एंड डेथ” पर डॉक्यूमेंट्री बनायी है। आजकल के बच्चों के हाथ में एक कैमरा तो रहता ही है और टेक्निकली सब कुछ बड़ी आसानी से मिल जाता है। उसके साथ बैठ कर फिल्म पर चर्चा कर सकता हूँ क्योंकि उसे सिनेमा में रूचि और उसकी समझ भी है। पता नहीं उसे फिल्में बनानी है या नहीं ? मेरे पदचिन्हों पर चलेगा या नहीं ? पर हाँ जो कुछ भी करना चाहेगा मैं उसका जरुर सहयोग करूँगा।

आर माधवन ने समय समय पर यह साबित किया है कि वह बॉलीवुड में रहने आये हैं। अलग अलग किरदारों को निभाया है माधवन ने और अब “लवर ब्वॉय” इमेज के मरने से पहले उन्होंने फिल्म “साला खडूस” में एक बहुत ही खडूस कोच का किरदार निभाया है।
लिपिका वर्मा के साथ दिल खोल कर मायापुरी के लिए कुछ सवालों के जवाब भी दिए माधवन ने –
साला खडूस के लिए आपको निर्माता नहीं मिल पा रहे थे क्या कहना चाहेंगे ?
जी हाँ यह स्क्रिप्ट मेरे दिल के करीब है सो मैंने इसके लिए जी जान लगा दिया और मेरा यह दृढ़ निश्चय था कि चाहे मुझे अपनी ज़मीन जायदाद बेचनी पड़े तो भी मैं यह फिल्म जरूर बनाऊंगा। यहां तक कि हमने जहां से शुरू किया था यानि एक रूम किचन के फ्लैट से – हम वापस उस स्तर पर भी जाने के लिए तैयार थे।
आप अभिनेता और निर्माता दोनों ही काम कैसे कर पाये?
देखिये आखिर में मैंने राजू हिरानी को कहानी सुनाई और उन्हें वह कहानी बहुत पसंद आई सो उनके होते हुए मुझे सिर्फ अभिनय पर ध्यान देना था। मुझे याद है मैं रात के 12 बजे उनके घर गया था उन्हें कहानी सुनाने। वह तब सोच रहे थे कि मैं पागल हो गया हूँ। किन्तु कहानी सुनकर बहुत खुश हुए और मेरे पागलपन को उन्होंने ही पहचाना। आखिर में राजू मेरे साथ आये यह मेरे लिए बहुत अच्छा साबित हुआ।
इस किरदार से मेरा गुस्सैल अवतार सब के सामने आ जाएगा। …हंस कर बोले मेरी पत्नी भी कहती है, “अब सबको यह मालूम हो जायेगा कि आप कितने गुस्सैल हो और वह लवर ब्वॉय इमेज तो बस पर्दे के लिए ही थी।
“साला खडूस” से क्या उम्मीद है ?
मैंने इस फिल्म को करीब 12 साल अपने दिल के करीब रखा है और मुझे मालूम है कि मैं एक बहुत बड़ा रिस्क ले रहा हूँ। किन्तु यह भी जानता हूँ कि फिल्म लोगों को पसंद आने वाली है।
आप राजू हिरानी के पास पहले क्यों नहीं गए?
मुझे दोस्ती का फायदा नहीं उठाना था। किन्तु जब कोई भी इस फिल्म को करने के लिए तैयार नहीं हुआ तब मैंने उनके पास जाने का निश्चय किया और मैं खुश हूँ वह भी वही देख पाये जो मैं इस कहानी मैं देख रहा था।
कुछ रुक कर माधवन बोले,” मुझे याद है जब तनु वेड्स मनु पार्ट टू का आखिरी सीन कर रहा था तब मैं साला खडूस की तैयारी में लगा था। निर्देशक आनंद राय ने मुझे तब कहा भी था, “इतने चौड़े कंधे और इस अवतार में तुम कैसे तनु वाले हसबैंड बन सकते हो ? तब मुझे अपने शरीर को उतारने के लिए बहुत मेहनत करनी पड़ी।
तमिल में और हिंदी में बन रही है यह फिल्म?
जी हाँ, तमिल में तो मुझे नेगेटिव किरदार में लोगों ने पसंद किया है उम्मीद है कि बॉलीवुड में भी मेरे नेगेटिव किरदार को मान्यता जरूर मिलेगी।

आपके पुत्र भी आपकी तरह स्टार बनना चाहते हैं ?
वह लम्बा-चौड़ा है और उसके मन में यह विचार तो आ ही गए हैं कि मेरी फिल्में अच्छा कर रही हैं या नहीं। वह मुझ से काफी कुछ विचार विमर्श भी करता है। खिलाड़ी भी है, उसे मेरी ही तरह स्पोर्ट्स में रूचि भी है। आगे क्या करना चाहेगा हमें नहीं मालूम ? लेकिन जो कुछ भी करना चाहेगा हम उसका समर्थन जरूर करेंगे।”
एक लेडी डायरेक्टर के साथ काम करने का अनुभव कैसा रहा ?
निर्देशक सुधा ही मुझे इस किरदार में अच्छी तरह देख पाई। मुझे यह कहने में कतई परेहज नहीं होगा कि सुधा एक लेडी होने की वजह से ही मुझे एक बेहतरीन लुक दे पायी। मोटर बाइक के सींस भी जिस तरह लिए है बहुत ही बेहतरीन दिख पड़ते हैं और मुझे जो बालो में थोड़ी सफेदी दी है, उसकी वजह से बहुत सारी लेडीज फैंस भी हो गयी हैं मेरी।
आपके लुक को लेकर आपकी माँ और बीवी के क्या विचार थे ?
मेरी माँ पहले तो कह रही थी – क्या लुक बना रखा है ? किन्तु कुछ दिनों बाद उन्हें मेरा यह लुक पसंद आया और मेरी बीवी भी यह कहने पर मजबूर हो गयी कि यदि लड़कियां तुम्हे इस लुक में पसंद कर रही हैं तो जाहिर सी बात है कुछ बेहतरीन ही लुक है। …”

INRERVIEW!! “एयरलिफ्ट” में कोई खून खराबा नहीं है” – अक्षय कुमार

अक्षय कुमार की फिल्म, “एयरलिफ्ट” के प्रोमोशन्स के दौरान लिपिका वर्मा से ढ़ेर सारी बातें की अक्षय और निमरत कौर ने जो पहली बारी अक्षय के साथ इस फिल्म में नजर आने वाली हैं
कुछ शॉकिंग बातें जो एयरलिफ्ट फिल्म के बारे में अक्षय ने हमें बतायी पेश हैं उन्हीं की जुबानी
एयरलिफ्ट की कहानी असली है और निर्देशक राजा इस फिल्म से पहली बारी निर्देशन की बागडोर सम्भाल रहे हैं। लगभग एक लाख 70 हजार भारतीय नागरिक हैं जो बहुत ही अमीर थे बेघर हो जाते हैं। रंजीत कत्याल जो किरदार का नाम है वो उन्हें कैसे बचा पाता है यह इस कहानी द्वारा बताया गया है। आप सोचिये जो इतने अमीर होते हैं बेघर तो हो ही जाते हैं किन्तु उनके पास देश भी नहीं होता है। यह जो आदमी है बहुत बुद्धिमानी से किस तरह सब को टेरेरिस्ट से बचाता है यही कहानी में दिखाया गया है।
एक 15 साल का बच्चा बन्दूक की नोक पर एक भारतीय को मारना चाहता है यह सोचकर कि वह कुवैती नागरिक है और किस तरह वह राज कपूर के गाने गाकर अपनी जान बचाता है यह भी दिखाया है हमने फिल्म में। यह एक सच्ची कहानी से प्रेरित है।
“एयरलिफ्ट” में खून खराबा नहीं दिखाया गया है। मेरा केरैक्टर जिस बन्दे पर आधारित है वह एक बहुत ही बुद्धिमान बिज़नेसमैन है और किस चालाकी से सब को टेरेरिस्ट के चंगुल से बचाता है यही जानकारी आज इस फिल्म द्वारा सब तक पहुंचेगी। 1990 में यह ऑपरेशन गुप्त रखा गया था और आज गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड में दर्ज भी हुआ है। यह काबिलेतारीफ कहानी भी है। इसलिए मुझे यह केरैक्टर करने में रूचि थी।
रंजीत कत्याल रियल नाम नहीं है। यह नाम मुझे रील पर दिया गया है।
निमरत कौर की जुबानी सुनिए अब –
ऐसा नहीं है कि अक्षय कुमार की फिल्म में हीरोइन्स को कुछ करने के लिए नहीं दिया जाता है। यह केरैक्टर मुझे बहुत अच्छा लगा। मैं यह नहीं कहूँगी कि मैं चूजी हूँ पर हर केरैक्टर अपने आप में बेहतर होता है।
फिल्म में रंजीत कत्याल क्यों अपने परिवार के ऊपर सबको बचाने की कोशिश करता है यह फिल्म में जानना मेरे लिए जरुरी था।
पहली बारी अक्षय कुमार के साथ काम करने का मौका मिला मुझे ख़ुशी है इस बात की। उनसे बहुत कुछ सीखा है मैंने। मैं सिर्फ वन फिल्म ओल्ड हूँ और इस फिल्म में जितना भी मेरा रोल है जायज है। हर फिल्म में यदि हीरोइन्स का किरदार दो गाने गाए और कुछ सीन्स हो तो भी उस फिल्म में उस किरदार का कुछ न कुछ महत्व होता है।
शुरू शुरू में मुझे अक्षय से डर लगा था। किन्तु वह डर केवल 5 मिनट का ही था। उन्होंने हंसी मजाक कर के मुझे इतना कम्फ़र्टेबल कर दिया कि किस तरह पुरे एक साल की शूटिंग खत्म हो गयी पता ही नहीं चला कि मैं उनके साथ पहली बार काम कर रही हूँ।
हमारी जोड़ी कुछ अलग ही है और पहली बारी इस जोड़ी को देखेंगे लोग हमें उम्मीद है कि हमारी कैमेस्ट्री भी बहुत अच्छी लगेगी सबको फिल्म में।

Director Rajkumar Hirani talks about growing up in Nagpur, honest movie-making, Sanjay’s biopic, his family and his mantra for success
Rajkumar Hirani is busy promoting his latest flick Saala Khadoos which will hit the screens on Friday. “After the release of Saala Khadoos, I will sit and work on Sanjay Dutt’s biopic which will go on floors in July.”
He believes that his growing up in a small town help him portray his thought process onto the celluloid in a modified manner. “In fact, I fancy the small town living experience; there we do not need to make a phone call before visiting people. We could go anywhere at any time. The simple life in a small town definitely makes one feel at ease. I do dig my experiences and put it in my films; I do not believe in shallow film making. My content has to have loads of belief in the script. I do not make a conscious decision to make films which would pass some message, but having grown in a small town whatever things I learnt growing up will be there,” he says.
That must have prompted him to make a movie like Pk. He agrees, “Pk was a film based on religion that I really wanted to make. All over the world, people are divided on the basis of religion; they want to protect their Gods… I feel it is the duty of God to protect them and they need not unnecessarily fight over such petty issues.”
About his family, Rajkumar says, “My wife works as a pilot for Air India; she flies almost every day. Ours was an arranged marriage, and since she belonged to the army background, her parents had to come to terms to get their daughter married to a man who merely earned his bread and butter by editing and making a few commercials.”
She supports him a lot, he adds. “My wife is quite stern and disciplined, but I must confess that she supported me a lot while we were residing in a one-room kitchen apartment at Goregaon. She would at times ponder as to how this man will be able to make it onto Bollywood, but when I finally did, she was very happy.”
Raju has high opinion of his son Vir. “It would not be too much if I say Vir has inherited my creative qualities. He understands cinema; I can sit and discuss things with him and he responds very well. He had recently worked on a film project with some of his school friends that he had titled Life and Death, which he shared with me. Vir has yet not told us what his professional ambition. However, we will readily support him, whatever it is.
Raju also says he is very much open to criticism for the betterment of films. “In my office, even a peon has the right to discuss while we are writing the script. No one is small or big; everyone has a voice,” he says, adding “Ever since we began working together, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Abhijat Joshi and I have become closer. Abhijat has also become an integral part of our film making; though he is in Gujarat, we talk for hours on a daily basis.”
On his upcoming Sanjay Dutt biopic, Rajkumar says, “I decided to do this because there is a lot of drama and thrill in his life and Sanjay did not want me to make any changes. I am very determined that it has to be made without any interference. I always like to tell a story with honesty.”
He adds, “We will be casting the right pair for his parents; Ranbir Kapoor plays the main lead. The film goes on floors in July.”
What is your success mantra? “Think of a unique idea; satisfy yourself; never try to satisfy everyone; if you laugh, cry and get the thrill with your story, people will also like it; be open to worthy criticism,” he sums up

TV star Krishna Gokani remembers the dark days in her life and what motivated her to keep on moving ahead
The sitcom Woh Teri Bhabhi Hai Pagle aired on Sab TV has been a game-changer for Krishna Gokani. Rumours have been doing the rounds on her being ousted from the show Devrani and her depression following an affair with production guy on the sets. After the turmoil of facing such odd stories, Krishna seems to have outgrown those bitter experiences.
“Yes! It’s like a re-birth for me. This particular period is so refreshing for me. I am happy that at such a small age I have learnt my lessons well,” she says.
Krishna further says, “When I look back and ponder over those painful moments, I feel, why the hell was I upset? My mom would always say ‘Yeh toh hota hi hai …just go ahead working and that’s important in life’, but I would argue with her. However, now, I feel everything that happened then was just a worthless bauble in my life.”
She also reveals that she had no affair in the sets, despite what rumours had claimed. “There were a few people from the production house with whom I wasn’t friendly, and some others were very amicable and helped me a lot. I gelled with them, but there’s nothing beyond that,” she clarifies.
The rumours did affect her, but she faced them gracefully.
“I am a very sensitive girl and would get upset easily. At the same time, I would never take any wrongdoings from anyone; I respond in such cases. Soon, I became the talk of the sets. But now, I have learnt by lessons. I am happy that eventually I proved them wrong as I am steering ahead professionally and personally. I would suggest to people of my age to never give up in life and instead try and become strong when you face negativities. Keeping on working hard and good times will follow.”
So, has she ever tasted puppy love? She laughs aloud. “I have had a very matured and good love life. We were introduced to each other by a third person and we met regularly after school. Undeniably, due to unavoidable circumstances, we broke up. Now, I am single, married to my profession,” she says.
She has all praise for her parents, especially her mum. “My mother is a home maker; but of late, she has been imparting knowledge to challenged kids. She helps me realise the importance of living the life to the best of one’s abilities. Right now, I am working very hard. I’m fast asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. Unlike most of today’s youth, I do not believe in going out over the weekend. I shall not rest till my bank balance is equivalent to my cell number,” she smiles.
Youngsters can also pick up a thing or two from Krishna as to how she completed her studies, while starring in a TV series. “Even though I had bagged the role of the main lead in Devrani, I was not allowed to take leave from my school. I was left with no other option but to choose the show over school. However, I would roam around with my books while others would be having their scripts in their hands. I am thankful to my ADs who helped me by reading out my answers whenever I requested. I’m happy that I have completed my graduation in Psychology now.”
And before signing off, Krishna gives away her success mantra. “Keep smiling. When you feel you lose hopes, just keep on smiling. Dark days come and pass away like clouds; we need not give our miseries and agonies a chair to sit on. We need to learn from such incidents and move ahead in life. Those who bring negativity will be paid back the same,” Krishna says.

Recently, Aamir Khan celebrated the successful completion of 10 years of his film, “Rang De Basanti” which is proof enough for Aamir having ample of love for his Country. Aamir has worked in films which have always imparted some good message to the audiences. This perfectionist’s latest thought process which he and his wife discussed in the bedroom, about her fear, created a lot of controversies.
In the opening speech itself clearing the air, Aamir said, "I have never thought of leaving the Country” and that “I am born in India and shall die in India.”
Message from the film, "Rang De Basanti-that has stayed with Aamir, "This film tells us that it is upon us that we take it to us to solve our problems”.
Addressing his comment on tolerance Aamir said, "Some people have understood me. While some were upset with me. They were told that I want to leave the country. Which is not true? Hearing something like this obviously anyone would feel bad...But I never said that. Some of you, the media is also responsible for misinterpreting my statement. I'm born here and I'll die here only. I never thought of leaving this country neither did Kiran think so we would never take this step. Whenever I go out of India. I feel homesick in 2 weeks time only."
Aamir further added, "Everyone was told I want to leave the country and that I said India is not tolerant. The ones who are upset, I'm not surprised because they were given false information."
Adding on a positive note, he said, “But through the media, today I want to clarify that I never said India is intolerant. Every country has its positive and negative. Every country has its own culture, caste and community. India may be the only country in the world that has so much diversity and strength. I hate it when people try to divide it. I will again raise a voice if someone tries to divide us.”Unity is our strength -I guess our PM said the same. There shouldn’t be a division of the country. With folded hands I request people who are negative and trying to divide the country they should not do so. Look at my films and then decide could I ever like to leave my Country.”
Aamir is really hurt that his patriotism was questioned and said, "Let my work talk. Look at my work. Why would I do Satyamev Jayate? Why should I do Satyamev Jayate? It’s because I love my country. I feel happy that I am lending a hand in nation building. I belong to a freedom fighter’s family. My great-grand uncle was Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. My wife had made me realize that I shouldn’t have shared our private conversation at a public platform.”

The final trailer launch of Sunny’s next directorial venture Ghayal Once Again saw the dawn in the presence of all the media personals. Sunny Deol, as usual, answered all the questions very simply. All said and done, the Deol Parivar were media-shy earlier, but now they have adapted the promotional strategies and are managing well equipped promotional strategy for their latest flick ‘Ghayal Once Again'.
In a bid to bring awareness about the film, he said, "Yes! We have come to know the fact that promoting our film in order to bring awareness amongst the audiences is become an important factor, thus, we are leaving no stone unturned to do so.”
However, when Sunny was asked why he does not do films outside his own banner?? Laughingly he said, "Mujhe bahar ke banner mein kam nahi milta!! [I don’t get films outside my banner. Probably this answer of mine will make a good headline for you guys,” he asserted laughingly.
With this reply we surely can say, Sunny has learned how to make headlines for media tell tales.

R. Madhavan has proved time and again that he is here to stay….be it his lover boy image or now this ‘Saala Khadoos’ image he has been liked by one and all in this avatar. This Bilingual is being made in Tamil as well in Hindi and has garnered eyeballs before its release. Madhavan was dead sure that he will unveil this script on the silver screen at any cost, ”Chahey mujhe meri zameen bech kar paise lana padta…mein sab kuch karne ke liye taiyar tha. Yahan tak ki main ek room kitchen mein bhi rehne ke liye taaiyar tha….from where I had started.”
So you also turn a producer with - Saala Khadoos? How did you manage Acting/Production at the same time?
"Yes! I was very lucky that at the last minute when I decided to go to Raju Hirani he was bowled by the script, he literally had tears in his eyes. However, I did take a risk of doing this film which was with me for so many years. But I am grateful to Raju he did not allow me to take the pressure of a producer. I just had to perform."
Why did you go to Raju in the end? Being friends you could have done it at the initial stage?
"I did not want to take any advantage of our friendship. However, during the later stage, I decided to go and narrate the story to him. It was almost very late at night Raju was very surprised that I wanted to visit him at the hour of the day. However, after hearing the story, he was happy and positive."
With this film, you lover boy will fade away. Comment?
"I opted to do this film because I was confident about the story. This role will definitely take me to the next level. I was fed up of playing the lover boy kind of an image. The lover boy process was boring but for this film, I had to go through an overall revamping. I am at a complacent stage; the lover boy image gives a fair success. Before this image finally dies its own death I wanted to change it over. Undeniably, I have already changed that lover boy kind of image in Tamil cinema and the audiences have already accepted me. I have always seen to the fact that whatever role I play, I look the part. It’s not money that matters. For this project, it was my passion, so I went through all the humiliation. I was eager about the story to reach the audiences. I was already prepared if at all this did not work, I may go back to that one room kitchen apartment, from where I had started."
Why were you keen on changing your image?
"I am proud about the fact that I have existed here in Bollywood for quiet many years. All those who started with me are not doing much. You get sanitized with the daily comments you receive. I wanted to know where I stand. I was happy to know the truth that to some extend the media as well my fans wanted to see me more. Waiting for this film to happen was a living death and a death calling for me. But thanks to my friends who helped me cherish my dream project. This was a humbling process for me. At one stage when I and my family had postponed our holidays in order to begin this project but- Alas! It could not happen.At this point in time we were all broken but I did not lose hopes and today we are talking for this films makes me feel damn happy about the fact that –‘Saala Khadoos ‘is all set to bang the theaters in Tamil as well in Hindi."
With’ Saala Khadoos’ you attain –‘Salvation’ or an indication that you are here to stay?
"With this film it’s not that I have attained salvation but I assure it’s an indication that I am here to give in and do my best.The only thing I like to choose the best out of what I am offered. It’s difficult to make people believe about your stardom. If you are out of sight then you surely are out of mind. I may come after a gap of three years that’s mere because I await the right script and role to be offered. I remember when Director Anand Rai saw me in the first scene of Tanu Weds Manu in that scene where I am returning at the Airport, he was indeed not very happy with my broadness.With that broad shoulders, he rightly thought that I would not look the character. I was training for –‘Saala Khaodoos ‘and had just returned. Thus, I had to tone down my body a lot for being that Husband. (smiles)"
How was it working with a woman Director Sudha ?
"Sudha could perfectly see me in this role. I must confess she had a vision so perfect that all girls are liking me in this grey hair…..smiles.The bike shots were also conceptualized by her. She specifically saw me in all that I am doing on the screen. I vouch for her as a woman director who could really make me dress/look what the character needed to look like."
Saala Khadoos, which will see a new kid [boxer] Ritika Singh on the silver screen, is going to release on January 29.
