Sanjay Dutt’s presence missed
The trailer launch of ‘Policegiri’ was marked by Sanjay’s absence
The first look of ‘Policegiri’ saw the light of day despite the absence of Sanjay Dutt who is presently at Yerawada Jail. His sister Priya Dutt and brother-in-law Kumar Gaurav were present for the unveiling.
“It is indeed great to have Priya and Kumar Gaurav as the attendees for the first look of ‘Policegiri’. It was not possible for me to request them to spend some more time with us, as we are all aware of the pains and agonies the family is going through,” clarified director KS Ravi Kumar as Sanjay’s kin left immediately after the launch.
Sharing his admiration for Sanjay Dutt who did not let the verdict come in his way of work, he shares, “No one could ever make out that Sanjay was stressed as he put in his hundred percent while in front of the camera and maintained his camaraderie with the crew. It has indeed been a learning experience for all of us who have spent these crucial moments with Sanjay.” Despite the hiccups, Ravi is confident about his debut as a director in Bollywood. “It has been pleasant for me in Bollywood as the actors here are very professional and everyone gave me a free hand. I am sure of the success of the film as the fans of Sanjay Dutt will be treated with a pinch of ‘gandhigiri’, ‘policegiri’ and ‘gundagiri’,” he concludes.
