Actor Alia Bhatt’s advice to her young fans on life and style
If there’s one actor in Bollywood who is constantly reinventing herself, whether with challenging roles, or singing, it’s Alia Bhatt. And she is taking it all in her stride.
“I am not the one to advice people on how to achieve their dreams, it’s not my place,” she says, adding, “However, I am fortunate to have made a place for myself in Bollywood. I will only say, ‘dream with your eyes wide open’. Also, work hard towards achieving your goals.”
As a ‘celeb’, Alia admits she misses visiting her addas. “One of my favourite adda was near the Juhu temple. I would love to hang around there with my friends frequently. I miss it now,” she says.
Another advice that the youth and style icon has is this: “Be yourself. Do not always try to match your lipstick, bags and nail polish with your dress.”
Talking about her style mantra, she adds, “I only want to be comfortable. I wear simple track pants, a ganji and at times a hoodie.” Alia lets us in on a secret, that she is flat footed. “I am still learning to walk properly, especially on the ramp. I am just 22 and I have to learn to walk with a better posture. As I am flat footed, I do trip over at times.”
When asked about the secret of her flawless skin, she mischievously says, “It’s all the love of my fans. I owe my flawless skin to all your love.”
