The rights of Mahesh Babu starrer, ‘Nenokkadine’ has been dealt for a whopping Rs 72 crore by Eros International. Mahesh’s earlier film ‘Athidi’ was bought by UTV Motion Pictures.
Initially, Eros International officials refused to comment but being probed further, they confirmed, “Yes, we have purchased the rights of Mahesh Babu-starrer ‘1′ (’Nenokkadine’).” So, the audiences will experience another South remake on the Hindi silver screen next year.
Our close sources reveal, “This is the first time that a Telugu film has been able to attract buyers for such an exorbitant amount. This tie-up also makes way for the film to be screened in several countries.”
