Anand Kumar of ‘Zila Ghaziabad’ fame is all set to direct another film titled ‘Desi Kattey’ under his newly launched home banner Anand Kumar Productions. ‘Desi Kattey’ is an action drama based in a small town near Kanpur. It is a story of two kids who become India’s best sharp shooters thanks to the childhood they spend in the katta (handmade pistol) factory. “I came up with this typical title as I find it intriguing and feel that a common man will definitely associate with it,” explained Anand.
Loosely inspired by Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Saathi’ (1991) the film will also see a superstar playing the villain, confirmed Anand
