‘I have hits outside the banner’ Tusshar in a brief tete-a-tete with Lipika Varma
Tusshar Kapoor says he chooses to do one film at least outside his home production.
“I look forward to doing at least one film outside our home production, if nothing else just because ‘logon ka muh band karneke liye’. In fact,
I got the role in ‘Shootout At Wadala’ much before our home production decided to take it up.”

Talking about his character he says, “Sanjay Gupta narrated the story to me and I was on board before Ekta agreed to produce the film. It is not that I keep getting offers only under my home production. If you go by the success of ‘Golmaal’ I am happy that the film proved a hit at the box office to make one thing clear that I managed a hit outside our banner.”
On playing Yusuf Pathan’s character Tuski says, “We have no details about this character. Whatever I could assimilate, it was with the narration I got from the director. I tried to add my impetus to the role. To make it real, someone took me to Dongri where he lives.
I picked up their language. All the residents out there became my friends and wanted to get me food. After a point, I stopped because it was hindering my work. I am the one who
with Manya Surve in real but after a point of time he takes over everything in totality.”
Tusshar has started believing in astrology. “I met with an accident and hurt my toe. However, it is not that I’m trying to follow the footsteps of my sister Ekta. My mom just happened to take me to an astrologer. He advised me to wear some stones on my middle finger
to substitute the pukhraj stone which I was wearing in my first finger. The pearl stone which I’m wearing in my little finger has been presented to me by my dad. No sooner did I wear it, I could experience some positive changes.”
On workin with Anil Kapoor he says,
“I have no scenes with Anil Kapoor. Working in this film I have noticed Anil’s energy and learnt from him to keep myself abreast with all situations. The amount of energy he possesses is mind blowing. For instance during the promotions for Shootout… he would always get up and walk a bit to restore his energies and then was all to converse with another set of journalists.”
