John Abraham’s quest for intelligent cinema
He started off as a model but didn’t fall in the pretty, blonde trap. John Abraham has constantly chosen films with interesting subjects be it commercial films like ‘Dostana’ or slightly off-beat ones such as ‘Water’. Even when he turned filmmaker, Abraham’s first choice was ‘Vicky Donor’, a film on sperm donation. Speaking about his career he says, “The content of the films have changed altogether. Films like ‘OMG - Oh My God’, ‘Vicky Donor’ and others have proven that content must be of prime importance. Our audiences too needs good and meaningful cinema.” He goes on to add, “Films like ‘Water’, ‘Vicky Donor’ prove the voice of larger voice. These films have been the turning point of my life.”
