Mumbai: Film makers are always allured to try their hand on real subjects. Well! This time director Shuja Ali is touching the patriotic feelings of our Countrymen by making Hamid Ali alive on the celluloid. This patriot has laid his life for safeguarding lives of all his Indian brethrens on the Pakistan Border as per reports from Lipika Varma.

Director Shuja Ali’s film Baat Ban Gayi is all set to release on 11th oct, 2013. Being produced by Sayyed Asif Jah and Meghna Agarwal the film is an out and out comedy film. Surprisingly Shuja Ali is very confident about its success and so he is more keen on directing a film on the Hamid Ali. "Yes! The script is almost ready I have grown up reading about the patriot who laid his life for the sake of our motherland India. I remember we also had a lesson on this patriot which I would love to read again and again. Well no sooner did I venture into the Hindi filmdom I have always been cherishing to direct this film. The film is however, based on his biography. We have already discussed this with his wife. She has given us the right of making a film on his life history." said Shuja Ali to Lipika Varma

But our sources say that some other film maker is also planning to make a film on him? "Well! I would not know about it. But we have the rights and we will be bringing his wife on the launch ceremony. We have yet not decided the exact date as we are busy with the release of our latest venture Baat Ban Gayi which stars Ali Fazal,Gulshan Grover,Anisa,Amrita Raichand,Razzak Khan and Akshay Singh." concluded Shuja Ali            

Hansal Mehta’s Shahid to be edited for satellite release! by lipika varma Published: Thu, Oct 10, 2013

Director Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film, ‘Shahid’ has received an A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for its theatrical release, but the film may have to undergo heavy editing, especially for television viewing. It tells the story of slain human rights activist Shahid Azmi.
“We have made the film the way we believed it should be made. CBFC has certified it the way they thought it fit best. They are a responsible body. I hope they have certified it correctly,” says the director.
The film is set to hit theatres on October 18 and Hansal is hoping for the best.

Legendary danseuse and Padma Vibhushan Dr Sonal Mansingh will be seen as the judge on a new dance reality show to be aired on Doordarshan. The show, called Bharat Ki Shaan — Rum Jhum, is the brainchild of Gajendra Singh, who has previously helmed Antakshari, Sa Re Ga Ma, Voice of India, Music ka Maha Muqqabla and most recently, Sur Kshetra. BKS aims to juxtapose an Indian dance form with a non-Indian one, and will be hosted by Shweta Salve.
“The show will bring together different dance forms on a common platform by juxtaposing an inherently Indian form with a non-Indian dance form,” said Gajendra Singh about his new show. “The idea is to celebrate the commonalities as well as the differences of certain (dance) genres. A competitive element is interwoven with the core themes and lends excitement and engagement. The series will showcase immensely talented dancers of India and some nail-biting competition. Bollywood dance will be combined with classical, regional, folk and Western genres and keep the entertainment quotient on a high.”
Gajendra also confirmed for us that “the very talented and honorable Padma Vibhushan Dr Sonal Mansingh has agreed to be the ‘guru shrestha’ for the show”. “This is the first time that the legendary Sonal Mansingh will be a part of a dance reality show as the judge. We also have Sandip Soparrkar representing the non-Indian dance forms and Sandeep Mahavir representing the Indian dance forms. These two dynamic personalities will captain a team each and their guidance is sure to elevate the show,” Gajendra added.
The show is scheduled to go on air from October 14 and will be aired every Monday and Tuesday at 10 pm on DD National.

Shahid Kapoor who will be seen in an action packed role in Prabhudheva’s ‘R Rajkumar’ along with Sonakshi Sinha is all excited about working with the director.
Sharing the experience of working with his director, he says, “Prabhu is a hard taskmaster. He makes all of us dance to his tune but it is fun working with him. A man of few words but he believes in making the action perfect.”
“I was longing to perform a character with almost all the shades. This role is very interesting as I can showcase all my potential right from dancing, acting and action,” Shahid shares.
