Hyderabad: Think Sushmita Sen and you think ‘black’, or maybe sometimes ‘white’. Why? Because that’s what she seems to wear all the time! But, why?

Sush, smiling in her charming fashion, says, “I was sure that someone would ask me this question. Even while selecting a dress to wear for this event, I tried to find something other than black or white, but my wardrobe is filled with black and white dresses! Also, we were planning to add colour variants in this show, however the monochromatic theme did not give us much scope for that. But don’t worry, I will make sure you guys see me dressed up in a different colour soon!”

Giving away her mantra for being confident on the ramp she says, “Celebrities, especially on ramp walks, are under the scanner and any mistake or trip, is bound to be noticed. If you are the showstopper for a fashion show, it is not as if you will be ‘hanged’ for a mistake. However, you need to think on your feet and handle such a situation smartly.” She went on share, “in my last ramp walk I did trip a little. However, I did not stop and fumble, instead I just moved ahead confidently and started all over again. That confidence has to come from within and it will put a smile on your face.”

“Tripping or making a mistake is human, but it is your speed of recovery and style of recovery that will save you. Handle it smartly and with a smile, as I have done on many occasions,” came the confession!
When asked about her film, Happy Anniversary, she gave a quick update “Getting the dates in place for everyone in the cast is not possible right now as they are all busy. The film’s shooting will start as soon as the dates of each and every actor are obtained.”

No sooner did Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan return with his Happy New Year team to Mumbai, he was busy promoting his film through a new show on Zee, Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale.

"Yes, I got associated with Zee once again as I have lost few shows earlier...I arm twisted them and got my association rejuvenated, this time our association shall go on for another 200 years, which will thus make up for the loss I had  suffered by not being there on Zee’s earlier shows,” said King Khan jokingly.

Ask Shah Rukh if he dances with his kids pat comes the reply,“Yes!

We wake up every morning and  keep nodding our heads right and left…that is the dance for me and Abram which suits every song then it could be a number from any of my films...Lungi Dance, Chamak Challo. But if I ask Aryan to dance with me then he will surely beat me up for asking him to do this nodding head kind of a step.” adds the Bollywood badshah.

About himself being a terrible dancer, he says, "I can be considered to be the World’s best dipper …However this took me a long time to get the hang  of dipping. I remember Rakeshji made me go on a bicycle to complete the dance number as I was taking long time to get the real hang of the steps.

This song was choreographed by the legendary Saroj Khan for film King Uncle," he quips. “We were shooting for Is Jahan Ki Nahin Hai Tumhari Aankhen. Truly speaking I get jitters whenever I have to go in accordance to the count…one to ten.”

Adding further he says, “The first time Barry John cast me,  as a dancer and not as an actor. I was the principal dancer. I had just one line: ‘Annie I have a letter for you’. Through the rest of the play I was just dancing!”

Refreshing   his memories he gives credit to Amrita Singh for giving him a piece of her mind and making him comfortably dance  “Amrita’s advice during my film-  Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman “ I was getting very nervous to do this dance number, it is then she told me ., ‘Just be happy and it will seem as if you are dancing.’ For the last 20 years I have just been doing that…..I enjoy dancing.”

On not being judgmental or a good judge he quips, “I can’t judge. I try to avoid judging shows; I’d rather just tell everyone they are doing the best I just can’t point faults in anyone.” Concludes King Khan.

Katrina Kaif on Bang Bang

Katrina Kaif has surely learnt the B’Town way of faring for an interview…In an exclusive rendezvous the star speaks her heart to Lipika Varma

Why didn't you guys  promote Bang Bang on the reality show?
Yes! Promotional activities need to be attended to right from early hours. However, I am too tired to wake up in the morning. Undeniably whether we are going to promote on the reality show or not …it all depends on the marketing team. We just have to do our bit, by following their instructions and be right there to give away a sneak peek to you guys. You are definitely  instrumental in promoting our films.

Coming back to my earlier film Dhoom3, refreshing your memories, I can tell you for D-3 too Adi had decided not to visit the reality shows. So with Bang Bang if they plan to take the same route it’s their best way of promotions I guess.

You seem to have improved  in Hindi tell us about  your Hindi lessons.Yes! I can speak in Hindi …Actually I have learned all the 12 languages Tamil Telugu etc she winks and smilingly says, You guys ask in any language I am confident in Hindi speech but I will answer to you in English! Jokes apart, Katrina surely shows signs of improvement in her speech vide-Hindi Language as in between her interview she spoke fluently in Hindi.

Comparing your action in Dhoom 3,  tell us about your character in Bang Bang?

Aamir ne mera role Kha liya! In BB my role in the film is adequate….you can go ahead and watch my role. Well, knowingly what my character has to be, I always give my 100%. I have done drastic roles until this day. In all my films…the fact is I want to see more beyond the platform given and resources which I have up my hand.

My intentions to a certain kind of roles especially while performance is acrobatic; it needs total perfection and takes a lot of hard work to give your best. The budget also turns exhorbitant as then you need the action master to train you well... However, performing action in D-3 was extremely satisfying we have different challenges to face; Physical challenges need to be attended to rightly. I had given my 85 to 95 percent for this action role.

I presume actions done by me were exciting and challenging for me. But in BB I am doing completely different, my character is beautiful in the film. All the actions performed by Hrithik are spectacular actions, these actions are extremely different. I just need to go with the flow. My going is the highlight put together with the film. It is a hard concept to go along with the action, undeniably with the right kind of action and romance the film is surely a condensed flick.

The film has its fun element, songs and music to the core. I play a simple character, a girl working in bank. She concentrates in her job and has no boy friend. Working hard the World around her is totally mundane. She meets this boy and in his company both go crazy. She genuinely feels there is a sort of a danger in her life but yet she remains quiet. But at times she showcases her outburst by yelling on the top of her voice.

The content of the film BB can be said to be Funloveria kind of a story with a lot of action. In D-3 the story of this glam equation revolved around the two brothers who fought for her love at the same time.

How has your Hindi Filmy Journey been-tough or easy?

My filmy journey here in Bollywood has not been tough at all. I can say that I have been very lucky. I am fortunate enough to get great roles. Getting a higher platform and a good launch there was an excitement for me right from the beginning of my career.

Whatever work I may have got in my previous flick…going ahead to another flick I got better roles. Slowly and gradually my characters in every film improved. Also the acknowledgement I received from my audiences has been mind blowing; they have liked me in most of my films.

I feel the audiences are also very forgiving…if they find a major flaw in my character they may come up with their ideas but I have been fortunate enough to have received all their love. They have had a positive attitude towards me. Every effort of mine has been rewarded by them.

How helpful have your peers been ?

All my friends have recommended me to some producer director. Also they have always guided me and pointed out at my flaws, their timely advice towards my flaws has helped me improve my acting abilities.

Yes! I too always like to give my best shot and if someone points at my flaws, I improve on it. But sometimes if the flaws are allowed to pass by ….[winks] then I just keep quiet and let it go by.

What’s your take on being the No. 1 heroine?

This is a very conspicuous statement, infact all this matters if your films taste the success one after the other. This status changes with films, I am not bothered about the number one game which has a relevant connections to your earlier films, but I want to give my best to the audiences.

I want to be known like Hema Mlaini, she is known for her fondness, being within the hearts of the audiences. People watch your film for the love and so they do not at times care for your negativity in the character. The actors who they love are always having a positive discussion point of view in their conversation.

This brings more of you in the positive light in public. Entertaining and keeping them happy is what I really care for.

Your take  on Box office success
Everyone wants their films to do well, we as actors always crave for box office success. But having said that, I have been super super fortunate as I have not seen other side as all my films have garnered BO success.

I have lot of gratitude and happines as it continues. It is really heart breaking when your films do not do well.We change not with success, but with times.

As you grow hopefully you change for better. Having seen success you become less erratic also you learn to appreciate low moments. You learn not get carried away by highs and the lows of life. It teaches you to balance everything and your priorities will not change with happiness.

Indeed with films doing well you also then look to being with your family and friends. You would love to go out with them for a lavish and a cool dinner. You start caring to enjoy your holidays properly to reduce the work stress.

And on social media, Katrina says: Look, I do love being excisable on Instagram as I love to post pictures and also show friends/kids how it works. I am rarely focusing on social media unless I have a film to release or something more.

Having said that I feel if you are hearing good things on social media about yourself then being on the social media constantly, you should have the capacity to hear/read not so good things about yourself. People are not going to just praise you all the time. Being on social media you have to face every issue that  you may come across.

Hyderabad: Amy Jackson’s stars are on the rise thanks to I, which is one of the costliest Indian film till date with a budget of $30 million. Talking about her role in the film and her co-star Vikram, Amy, who now calls India her home says, “This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of working with Vikram. He is very dedicated to his craft and I have learnt so much whilst working with him. He is a very outgoing  person, but while shooting he is quite serious.
He had intense scenes, which involved prosthetics (he also plays a hunchback in the film), and he was completely in the zone and fully in character for months. It was very inspiring.” About her own role, she says, “When Shankar narrated the story and went into details about my character, Diya, I was very excited to start shooting. My role in the film was completely different to what I’ve done in the past and it involved quite a lot of preparation.
There are many dance numbers in I, and long dialogues. Also, my scenes covered all aspects of acting — comedy, action and romance etc. Amy has done only one film in Bollywood. When asked about her future in the Hindi film industry, she says, “I am very happy working here in the Indian film industry. I’ve tried my hand in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, and I’ve enjoyed all of them. My next movie is in Tamil opposite Suriya. Regardless of the language, I will choose my upcoming movies by script and if I can do justice to the role.”
About working with Aascar Ravichandran and bonding with people from Kollywood, she says, “It was a great experience working with Aascar Films… He’s a respected producer in the industry. I am a part of the Kollywood industry and that’s because of the warm welcome from actors/actresses, directors and everybody else involved.”
Talking about her next film, she says, “My next movie is opposite Suriya; it’s directed by Venkat Prabhu. I’m reading several scripts at the moment and I am very excited to start 2015 with a bang!” When asked about the qualities she looks for in a man, Amy says, “Above all, I look for someone who can make me laugh. In the words of Marilyn Monroe, ‘If you can make a girl laugh, you can make her do anything…’.”

Huma has become the first choice of Fashion Designers!!

Huma Qureshi definitely has an Oomph factor in her persona….she is a perfect mix of beauty and attractive persona. Needless to say then Huma has turned the muse for the designers in the recent past….Huma has turned the toast of the ramps. Undeniably she looked pretty and carried herself wonderfully on the ramp. has become the toast of ramps recently.

We hear that many designers are keen to have Huma on board as she has perfect curves to match any outfit any cloths traditional or western.

In one of our interviews Huma had agreed while she said,” One should be fit and take care of one’s body as there is no excuse to be unfit. But I feel that Indian women are naturally blessed with beautiful curves. Just because somebody has said that you need to be perfect, one should not kill herself to achieve that. Be proud of your curves.”

Kudos to Huma, for not only proving herself as a good actor but being the choice of the Fashion Designers too.
