The superstar gets emotional as he shares how fans from all over the world celebrate his birthday
Being
from a middle class family, Shah Rukh Khan still is overwhelmed with
his superstardom; especially during his birthday when fans from all over
the world throng outside his bungalow to be a part of the celebrations.
“Surprisingly, as a kid, not belonging
to a financially affluent family, we never celebrated birthdays. I thank
God for having bestowed upon me all my well wishers, fans and audiences
who love to celebrate my birthday,” shares SRK.
Talking about how he ushered in his 48th birthday, he shares, “Last night while I was busy writing something; I could hear drums being played outside my bungalow on the roads. The noise of these drums and the ‘Lungi dance’ numbers being played made me realise about my birthday.” But he also shares his helplessness when he is unable to decipher the wishes of his fans written in foreign language and says, “I feel so good that everyone celebrates my birthday. I do get very many gifts and also many wishes are sent to me from all over the world. I only regret that I am not able to read wishes written in Germany, Spanish and other languages.”
Sharing how his kids always have been the first ones to wish him, he says, “My kids are always the first ones to wish me exactly at midnight. Aryan and Suhana wished me on this birthday too. Gauri has not given me any gift. At our home people always like to give gifts like cards etc.”
Trying to draw no parallels with his previous birthdays, SRK reiterates that he is happy with the present. “I do not prefer comparing anything to the previous year. I always feel happy with whatever I have. I am indeed blessed professionally as well as personally too. Especially the peace that I have is more than enough. I hope every year proves to be a great year for me. I take this opportunity to thank God for all the small mercies bestowed upon me,” shares King Khan.
Adding about his forgetful attitude he says, “I usually forget to wish birthdays of my friends and near and dear ones. But I do like to celebrate the birthday of my kids. By just taking them out for shopping and getting their favorite stuff.” Being a contented man that he is, he says, “I do not crave for big films, big shows and huge awards. All that one craves for at the initial stage. But at this juncture, even small moments of happiness mean a lot to me. This birthday of mine I would like to dedicate to the small little happiness that I may have achieved. Anything that must have brought a smile on the faces of others.” Being touched by Boman Irani’s quote, SRK shares, “Boman said that Shahrukh always makes the atmosphere so very lively and happy with his jokes. I do feel that our professional place has to have a happy environment. When everyone is happy, then the work place and the work turn out to be outstanding.”
About his being energetic and young he smiles and adds, “So, this helps me do the roles of a hero. Let me tell you I play the protagonist, and always portray a character in the film. I do not like to overrule the director merely because audiences expect a good performance out of any good actor. So I always like to follow my director blindly in order to give my best.”
Sharing his secret fitness mantra, he says, “Muslims do scoot on the ground and relish their food. Also in Yoga we need to sit down on the ground. This keeps our stomach in shape and we need not over eat. Always keep your stomach a little empty.” Smiling sheepishly he adds, “Any work that brings sweat to your body, should be done for at least half an hour on a daily basis. If you follow this regime you will look fit and energetic.”
Shahrukh follows no tradition especially on his B’day and says, “I have never followed any tradition as such especially on my birthday. Infact like any other day, on this day too, I get up and sip my black-coffee. But yes, I do look forward for the love and affection that I am receiving for years now from my fans. However, I also like to personally go hug them and shake hands with all my fans who keep waiting outside my house for hours together.”
Also pointing at his neighbours very smartly he adds, “My neighbors do get angry for the noise created by my fans. I try to tell them it is my birthday! They in return say, “So what, it is your b’day and not ours.” So, I seek apology from them for the noise created by my fans.”
Sharing how his best is yet to come, SRK confides, “The best gift that I have had is my profession. I am yet not satisfied with my profession. For my friends and family they feel what is next? While for me I feel what is new? I have to go a long way. I would not like to be pompous on my achievement but at every given point of time would love to work harder to achieve more heights.”
Swearing how he would love to be born as an actor at every birth, he shares, “Good or bad, I feel this is the best profession and in the next birth I would love to be born as an actor. Whether then I get the fame or not? But I would definitely like to be an actor always.”
How he can never feel conceited by the term, ‘Oh God to be Shahrukh!’, the superstar shares, “I would only pray to the almighty God to be given this love again and again. Just last night while I was shooting for Farah’s film ‘Happy New Year’ in a Parsi colony, I was keen on finishing the shoot and rushing back home as I was very tired. But when I met all the old aunties, and all other fans who showered their love on me. They brought different dishes from their homes to feed me. Their love and care literally brought tears to my eyes. I really did not feel like coming back home. I wanted to spend more time with them. This love is more than feeling oh! my God, I am SRK! I am still unsatisfied on my professional front.”
Shahrukh also likes to steal some time off to be with his kids and shares, “Yes, since both Aryan and Suhana are busy with their hectic schedule and now since they are on holidays, I love to spend quality time with them. Play games with them and discuss few things with them. Well AbRam is very small but all I can say he is my best production!”
Lastly, Shahrukh turns nostalgic and shares about the memento that is closest to his heart and says, “I have no special gift, but yes, while my mom was on her death bed, she gave me a small pendant which has a picture of mom-dad and has a small prayer inscribed in it. I always keep this pendant with me in my lap+top bag. I do wear it also sometimes. This pendant is indeed very close to my heart.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan whose world revolves around her daughter Aaradhya says that she would love to thank her little bundle of joy who sang to her at midnight to usher in her mother’s 41st birthday.
“I would like to say thanks to Aaradhya as she sang happy birthday to me at midnight. I am the mother so I taught her to sing happy birthday but she feels it is her birthday so she said Aaradhya!” gushes the proud mother and adds, “The biggest gift on earth for me is my darling daughter. After two weeks, it is Aaradhya’s birthday. I would like to give her some surprise.”

Terence sports the grunge look
Terence will be accompanied by Sajid Khan and Shilpa Shetty on the judge’s panel. We ask him about his equation with the two. “Sajid and I share a very good rapport. What I love about him is that he is very blunt and speaks on the face. From what I know, Shilpa and Sajid have not had many differences of opinion either,” he says.
Terence believes that the idea of the show is not as much to pick the best dancer, as it is to allow couples have a ball while dancing.
“The whole idea is to let couples have a great time on the dance floor. We have deliberately chosen couples that aren’t very good at dancing. But this show may give them the inspiration to shake a leg sometime,” he adds.

Gauri Shinde talks about why The Tanishq ad is moving the masses into tears

Gauri Shinde directed the Tanishq advertisement that is
being considered path breaking in the world of advertising within a week
of its release. She also shares about her next project and whether once
again Sridevi will feature in it.
“It is the idea of the client Tanisq and conceptualized by Arun Iyer and creative team of Low Lintas. Thereafter they chose the cast and the credits. I am happy they had ample of faith in me and chose me to direct this. It is a broad concept and a bold idea. I am happy that people like the advertisement,” she shares.
“Getting such good reactions bring in contentment to me as a maker. I share a great rapport with Arun and the team. And more than anything it is their confidence and faith in me, which brings them back to me. I would definitely like to do favorable things for women and children at large. I love to portray them in right light.”
Talking about the making of the advertisement, she shares, “Undoubtedly anything that connects in a positive manner to any human being bringing in tons of smiles onto their faces. Such kind of work always attracts me.
"The making took almost two days as that is the usual time taken to make any advertisement. When everything is ready- the script, the required artistes and other essentials, then there is no looking back. Yes, sometimes we do finish making an advertisement in just one and a half days.”
Shedding light on her future projects, she adds, “I have no more advertisement in hand at the moment. I am writing a script of a film.
"I do not know if I would cast Sridevi in it. The script is at its initial stage. Also, while writing any script, I do not keep any actor in mind. I cannot confirm the genre of my film. All I can say it is not a science fiction as I feel I will not be able to do justice to that genre.”

The ace choreographer who is all set to sport his moustache, says that the one who kisses him will be poked by it

Lewis being a choreographer also loves to try on different looks. This
time, his look for ‘Nach Baliye’ seems to be inspired by Ranveer Singh’s
look in ‘Ram-Leela’. When asked to confirm this, he refutes, “No, not
at all. How can my look match his ‘Ram-Leela’ look? Firstly my hair is
short wherein his hairstyle is long. Also my moustache is thin and
elegant. No, I am not saying his moustache is shabby. Indeed my
moustache is trim and sleek.”
So, will the moustache not poke you? To
which he smilingly replies, “Why will my own moustache poke me? The one
who kisses me will get poked!” When asked if there is someone special to
kiss him, he coyly replies, “I believe in kiss and not tell.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan whose world revolves around her daughter Aaradhya says that she would love to thank her little bundle of joy who sang to her at midnight to usher in her mother’s 40th birthday on November 1.
However, the little one thought that she was celebrating her own birthday and mouthed Aaradhya instead of her mama’s name!
“I would like to say thank you Aaradhya, as she sang Happy B’day to me at midnight.
“I taught her to sing Happy Birthday song to [mama], but she feels it is her birthday so she said Aradhya!” gushes the proud mother and added, “I always do special things on my birthday and believe in social service.
I like to serve the needy especially on this day.”
Talking about how Aaradhya has lit up her world, she shares, “Aaradhya wished me twice. After two weeks, its Aaradhya's birthday. I would like to keep it a surprise for her.”
When asked what her husband
Abhishek Bachchan has gifted her for her birthday, she shares, “Abhishek has given me Aaradhya.
“The biggest gift on Earth for me is my darling daughter.
It will take time to come back in Bollywood. I am looking forward to work. I never make resolutions and also don't think of tomorrow.”
Revealing her plans to celebrate Diwali, she shares, “Traditions and festival are always special.
My birthday always coincides with Diwali.
“It’s a big birthday party along with my Diwali.
I wish a very happy Diwali to one and all. I like everything about Diwali. I will celebrate it in the evening with my family.”
On a philosophical note, she added, “The best thing today, I consider is my life which my parents have given me.
“I am a mother now, and fully understand the inner self of a mom. Experience is your greatest teacher, it brings you wisdom and realisation.”
Talking about her most special birthday, she shares, “Two years ago, when I was expecting Aaradhya.”
Taking a look back at her life, she shares, “I don't think I have any negative in me. I had a very fruitful journey so far. l always like to bring in a positive change in life, either personally or professionally.”

Abhishek Bachchan was spotted with plaster on his left hand during the first promotional activity of his forthcoming film ‘Dhoom 3′.
“I injured myself and ended up having a torn tendon in my elbow. However, this happened during my working out sessions but I have not taken a break from work outs or the gym,” Abhishek shared.
When asked what was daughter Aaradhya’s reaction on seeing her dad with a plaster on? Abhishek replied, “I do not wear it while she is around. I wear it only when I have to go out as a precautionary measure.”
